Quick Note Re: Flickr Group Feedback

Vaughn and I apologize for neglecting the Flickr group lately. We are in the process of correcting this.

Please remember, if you have uploaded images and do not receive feedback within a week, send us a quick email to give us to a heads up to check the Flickr group and we will review your submissions.

Sometimes our volunteer commitments exceed our free time! Thanks for understanding, Anna

April Meeting Recap

April 7th meeting

It was great to see a larger group turn up for our monthly gathering. We reached a respectable 13 on April 7th, including a guest. Could be that spring is bringing out our “old” members?

We covered a number of topics: First, we discussed relocating our meeting venue. While we love the convenience of just dashing out and exploring the downtown area of Moose Jaw we have found that Mitsu Cafe has become quite noisy and it is difficult to communicate across the table without repeating ourselves or members of the group missing out on information completely.

We are going to give Carol’s Cafe and Catering on the North Service Road a try in May. Here is the address: 820 N Service Rd, Moose Jaw
Carol’s is a great place if you fancy an old-fashioned, reasonably priced breakfast.
We will gather at Carol’s at 10 am and see how we like the location for future monthly Miksang meetings. Your input is much needed and appreciated!
Please remember: The May meeting is scheduled for May 12th! That is the second Saturday of the month…

Vaughn and I are busy organizing our first weekend workshop on May 5th and 6th. If you know of someone, or if you need to catch up because you only took last July’s one-day condensed workshop, please contact us as soon as possible.  Anna / Vaughn . Spaces for the May workshop are limited. We have had a great response from out of town photographers and can’t wait to lead the workshop during the first weekend of May.

The Apil 7th meeting explored the concept of Visual Haiku in Nalanda Miksang. Please refer to your copy of the book “Heart of Photography – Way of Seeing Volume II”. Pages 21 through 24 and 104 through 107.

Thanks to Lynn, Colleen, Brenda, Tami, Wanda, Patricia, Anna, Tracy, Colin, Shane, Kevin and Vaughn the images in this month’s slideshow.
